Classic Cars for Sale Packard

When looking for the perfect antique classic cars for sale Packard can’t be beat. The Packard brothers, James and Ward started the company after being dissatisfied with the American Companies that were being offered. They built their first Packard car in 1889.

The factory was based in Warren, Ohio and was originally known as the Ohio Automobile Company. With the backing of several investors, Packard moved their headquarters to Detroit, Michigan in 1903 and officially became the Packard Motor Car Company. Packard merged with Studebaker in 1954 and became the Studebaker-Packard Corporation.

Now, for the Packard cars, Packard created the majority of their cars from 1899- 1958. Some of the earlier models are on display in the Packard Museum while some of the other Packards cost quite a pretty penny for collectors. There are many Packard car parts available to keep Packards on the road. When Henry Ford was charging 400 dollars per car, Packards were going for at least 6 times as much. That is just a testament to the sheer style, grace and elegance that is inherent to Packard.

Many people are dedicated to keeping the spirit of the Classic Packard alive. In fact, in Warren, Ohio the original location for the Packard factory, there is the Packard Museum. The Packard Museum houses many of the original Packards and it is a wonderful collection. The display is rotated but the museum showcases Packards from 1903 all the way to 1956. But for classic car collectors, there is nothing like owning your own Packard, just ask the man who owns one.
